What are the requirements for applying for a rue21 REWARDS Credit Card?


To apply for a rue21 REWARDS Credit Card, applicants must:​

  • Be the age of majority in their state or territory of residence​
  • Have a valid, government-issued tax identification number (such as an SSN or SIN)​
  • Have a street, rural route or APO/FPO mailing address (no P.O. Box addresses)​
  • Have a valid, government-issued photo ID

Can I use a P.O. Box for the rue21 REWARDS Credit Card application?

The USA PATRIOT Act requires all credit applicants to provide a physical street address. Therefore, an application must be processed using a physical address, not a P.O. Box. Should you need to update your address after account opening call the Comenity Customer Care Center at 1-855-546-9546 (TDD/TTY 1-888-819-1918).

Where can I use my rue21 REWARDS Credit Card?

The rue21 REWARDS Credit Card is currently only accepted at rue21.com and in select rue21 store locations.

Where do I pay my rue21 REWARDS Credit Card bill?


You can pay your rue21 REWARDS Credit Card bill by doing one of the following:

  • Visit comenity.net/rue21 and log into your account
  • Use Comenity’s EasyPay without having to log in at comenity.net/easypay
  • Call (855) 564-9546 (TDD/TTY 888-819-1918)
  • Mail your payment in the envelope provided in your paper statements. To avoid late fees, ensure your scheduled delivery date is prior to your billing due date.

What is the welcome offer?


If you are approved for the rue21 REWARDS Credit Card, you will receive a 20% off discount applied automatically at checkout the same day as approval with a purchase. The balance of your purchase must be placed on your rue21 REWARDS Credit Card.

Can I save my welcome offer for a later use?


You must use the 20% off welcome offer immediately following approval the same day. The offer cannot be used in-store from an online account opening, or used online from an in-store account opening. You will not be able to use the coupon at a later time. In-store account sign up means applying at the register or using the text to apply code provided.

I recently applied for a credit card - when will I receive it?


Your rue21 REWARDS Credit Card will arrive via USPS in 7 to 10 business days.

EARNING POINTS

How are points calculated? How many points does it take to earn a reward?


Simply shop at rue21 stores or online at rue21.com to earn points. For every $1 you spend using your rue21 REWARDS Credit Card (pre-tax and net of discount), you will earn 15 points. Once you score 500 points, you instantly earn a $5 reward that can be used on a future purchase, in-store or online at rue21.com. See full rue21 REWARDS terms and conditions for more details.

What happens if I close my rue21 REWARDS Credit Card? Can I still earn points?


Yes. When you open a rue21 REWARDS Credit Card, you are automatically enrolled in rue21 REWARDS and will earn 10 points for every $1 spent when you do not use your rue21 REWARDS Credit Card.

When do points expire?


Your points will begin to expire after 18 months from the date they are earned until June 1, 2022. Beginning June 1, 2022, points will expire after 12 months from the date they are earned.

REDEEMING REWARDS

How do I redeem my rewards?


To redeem your rewards, simply fill your bag in-store or online at rue21.com with a purchase greater than your reward amount. If the value of your reward is greater than the purchase amount (i.e. if you use a $5 reward on a $4.68 merchandise total), the remaining reward value will be forfeited. When shopping online, your purchase amount must be greater than your reward value.

To redeem your rue21 REWARDS in-store, simply tell the associate at checkout that you wish to use your rue21 REWARDS on your current purchase. To redeem online, log in or create an account at rue21.com, then apply your rewards to your online purchase at checkout.

How long does it take for rewards to appear in my account?


Most points should appear within 24-48 hours of earning. Points earned for online purchases will appear in your account after your order ships. For some purchases, it may take longer to post to your profile depending on your payment to process through our systems.

When do rewards expire?


rue21 REWARDS will expire on the date stated on the reward. Check your email, text messages or you can log in or create an account to view your reward details online. Effective May 27, 2023, rewards will expire 60 days after they are issued.
