What is rue21 REWARDS?
How do I sign up for rue21 REWARDS?
Joining rue21 REWARDS is quick and easy! Find an associate in-store or visit rue21.com/rewards to join online. All you need to sign up is your:
- first name
- last name
- phone number
- preferred email address
- (optional) month, date, and year of birth
Who can sign up for rue21 REWARDS?
To join rue21 REWARDS, you must be a US resident and at least 13 years of age or older (see exception below for California residents). If you don’t meet these requirements, you will not be eligible for rue21 REWARDS. Score exclusive access rue rewards by creating an online account and agreeing to the rue rewards Terms and Conditions.
For California Residents Only: To join rue rewards, you must be a US resident and at least 16 years of age or older.
How will you use the information I provide through rue21 REWARDS?
How many memberships can I have in the rue21 REWARDS program?
You only need one membership per person to score all the best perks the rue21 REWARDS has to offer! Your membership can’t be shared with friends, family members, or other employees. Please Note: Members can’t combine their points with other members’ points while participating in rue21 REWARDS. You won’t need to, though! This program is packed with perks as it is!
We reserve the right to cancel any membership or multiple memberships associated with multiple accounts as well as cause the individual to forfeit all points and rewards in a profile or across multiple profiles. See rue21 REWARDS Terms and Conditions for details.
How do I subscribe to communications?
How do I unsubscribe from communications?
You can opt-out or unsubscribe from any rue21 REWARDS-related communications by following the opt-out/unsubscribe instructions listed at the bottom of all our communications, or you can Contact Us.
EMAIL: All emails regarding rue21 REWARDS have a link to allow you to unsubscribe. Click that link to unsubscribe or Contact Us. Please allow 20 business days after you opt out to no longer be emailed. Sometimes there are emails that are already in production.
TEXT MESSAGES: If you receive text messages from rue21, simply reply STOP to a text message to no longer receive those messages. Please allow 7 business days from the date you send STOP for those messages to no longer be sent to your phone. You can also text STOP to: 708-74.
Please Note: If you opt-out of communications, you will still continue to be a member of rue21 REWARDS, and you can still earn points toward rue21 REWARDS. If needed, you always have the option to cancel your membership (see below).

How are points calculated? How many points does it take to earn a reward?

How do I earn rue21 REWARDS?
Once you score 750 points, you instantly earn a $5 reward that can be used on a future purchase online.
Depending on the total number of points you earn, you can earn rewards greater than $5, specifically when you spend $150 or more in a single transaction. Your earned rue21 REWARDS will be linked to your account.
To redeem your rue21 REWARDS in-store, simply tell the associate at checkout that you wish to use your rue21 REWARDS on your current purchase. To redeem online, log in or create an account at rue21.com, then apply your rewards to your online purchase at checkout.
When do points expire?
Starting June 1st, 2022, points will expire after 12 months if not redeemed. Points earned prior to June 1st, 2022 will still expire after 18 months if not redeemed.
If I stop participating in rue21 REWARDS, what happens to my points?
Your points will begin to expire after 18 months from the date they are earned until June 1, 2022. Beginning June 1, 2022, points will expire after 12 months from the date they are earned.
What should I do if I'm missing points I should have received?
Did you make a purchase and forget to provide your rue21 REWARDS info at checkout to earn points? No worries. Log in to your account at rue21.com and access the rue21 REWARDS section. Here, you can add your receipt information to score the points you deserve!
If you still think you’re missing points and they weren’t posted or added to your account as anticipated, just Contact Us. Be sure to have your receipt(s) nearby so we can look up your transaction.
Help! I made a purchase, but I need to return/exchange. What happens to the points I earned if I make a return or an exchange?
REDEEMING REWARDS
How do I redeem my rewards?
To redeem your rewards, simply fill your bag in-store or online with a purchase greater than your reward amount. If the value of your reward is greater than the purchase amount (i.e. if you use a $5 reward on a $4.68 merchandise total), the remaining reward value will be forfeited. When shopping online, your purchase amount must be greater than your reward value.

Can I use my rue21 REWARDS to purchase gift cards?

Based on the number of points earned in a single transaction, you may earn more than one $5 reward—sweet! You can choose to redeem more than one $5 reward in any single transaction as long as you have them available in your account. The oldest $5 reward will be applied first toward new purchases as they cannot be used after they expire.

Please Note: All points balances and any eligible rue21 REWARDS will be canceled and no longer able to be redeemed. Please allow up to 30 days for cancellation to become effective.
