The rueLife: Style
Anatomy of the Jean
Move over last year’s denim! This year we redesigned our jeans to fit better than ever. Our rises are more flattering, the feel is softer, and we’ve got the best distressed and ankle details. We rolled out stylish new washes, added ripped and stitched details, and released even more comfy and stretchy denim—because really, is anything more important than perfect-fitting jeans?
Check out the anatomy of our new jeans and get ready to be #denimgoals.
All the Right Rises
Nothing changes the look of your jeans quite like finding the right rise. While lower and mid-rise jeans are always classic choices, we’re especially loving high-rise denim right now for it’s always-flattering fit. A higher rise elongates the leg, shows off the waist, and is easy to wear with heels or flats.
Comfy & Stretchy Fit
When it comes to jeans, the most important thing is how they fit! Our signature stretch and flex for comfort denim will keep you comfy all day long—in other words, you won’t be counting down the hours till you can run home and change into sweats. Try ‘em in all our latest washes (you won’t want to take them off, promise!).
Rips & Stitches
It’s all in the details! We’ve added new rips and patches for that love ‘em, live in ‘em feel you won’t be able to get enough of. Tonal patches give jeans a vintage effect, while extra stitching adds a well-worn, had-these-forever look we’re obsessed with right now.
Find Your Wash
Whether you opt to go light or dark, new fades and washes keep your style fresh! Reach for darker washes on #datenight, medium washes for a casual Saturday, and lighter washes for when you want to make a statement. No matter the occasion, we’ve got the season’s most wanted washes.
Vintage Ankle Details
The best way to update your denim wardrobe is to try jeans with distressed ankle details. Think frayed ankle hems for #sundayfunday, light-to-dark released hems for a more put together weekday look, and distressed step hems for a girly grunge look.
