DIY Graphic Tees

Feel like your wardrobe needs a boost? We’ve got a quick DIY tee fix that will take your look from low to woah. This cool craft is best when done on our graphic tees, but it will also look awesome on basic tees, tanks, and sweatshirts. Pair your revamped tee with a wild pair of patterned leggings, combat boots, and a chunky scarf, and your new look will be runway ready in no time!

  1. Hammer
  2. Eyelets
  3. Eyelet setter
  4. Scissors
  5. Wrap chokers or ribbon
  6. Ruler
  7. Pencil
  8. Graphic tee, basic tee, tank, or sweatshirt- check ours out here!

What to Do:

  1. Using the ruler and pencil, draw an upside down triangle from the collar of the shirt, making a vee, Gigi neckline.
  2. Cut out the vee using the scissors, but leaving the collar in the shirt.
  3. Next, either using the eyelet setter, eyelets, and hammer or scissors, create holes for threading the wrap choker or ribbon around the triangle.
  4. Then, thread the ribbon or wrap choker through the holes in a criss cross pattern.
  5. Tie off the ends at the top and cut off the excess, or let the excess hang out. Your choice!
  6. Last, but not least, style and show us how it turned out by tagging #rue21 on Instagram!
