Manager of Information Security
This position plans and administers all data security measures related to IT Policies/Framework, Enterprise Risk Management, Security Architecture, Internal Audit, Regulatory and Compliance including privacy, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity efforts. Directly responsible for all SOX and PCI security deliverables. Establishes all security measures in support of disaster recovery efforts. Analyze network traffic patterns, system logs, and audit files for compliance with security polices on all systems including an IBM iSeries (AS/400). Requirements include: 3-5 years experience in hands-on security administration, preferably in the Retail industry; payment Card Industry (PCI), COBIT/ISO or SOX experience preferred; experience with Cisco network gear: IOS, IDS, CSA, MARS is a plus; experience with third party tools to manage and audit the AS/400 security implementation; strong familiarity with DNS and TCP/IP networking; good written and oral communication skills; proven analytical and problem solving abilities; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; CISSP certification is preferred; computer Science or Business Administration degree is required; retail experience is preferred.
Help Desk Specialist
This position provides first level of support to the end user, including corporate office, distribution center and field associates when problems arise with computer hardware, software and communications equipment. Second level support is required for all store POS system processes. Responsibilities include: responding to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support in a courteous manner; researches issues and resolves technical problems; forwards issues requiring specialized technical knowledge to the appropriate network administration or software development personnel. Requirements: 0-3 years AS/400 computer operations experience; 1-3 years technical help desk experience; exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.; this position requires basic training and knowledge specific to hardware platforms, operating systems, operational tools, communication networks, and personal computers.; experienced with use of Microsoft XP, and Office Suite; computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
Accounts Payable Associate
This position will work along side the Accounting Department to contribute to the ongoing success of our stores. Responsibilities include processing invoices, generating payments, accurate filing of documents, making daily communication with internal customers and vendors. Requirements include proficiency in Excel, excellent communication skills, familiarity with computer systems and ability to be both detail oriented and handle multiple tasks. Previous accounts payable experience a plus.
Sales Audit Associate
This position will work along side the Accounting Department to contribute to the ongoing success of our stores. Responsibilities include reconciling weekly and monthly sales and deposits, accurately filing and data-entry of documents, maintaining daily communication with store managers, and auditing inventory receipts in a timely manner. Requirements include proficiency in Excel, excellent communication skills, and ability to be both detail oriented and handle multiple tasks. Previous sales audit experience a plus.
Merchandise Control Associate
This entry-level position will orchestrate the timely receipt, flow and processing of merchandise from time of placement through store receipt. Responsibilities include: data entry of purchase orders, program maintenance of merchandise data, photocopying and filing of purchase orders, frequent contacts with store locations, date entry of PO modifications, process advance shipping notices, and compare and adjust for revisions to anticipated receipt of product. Qualifications include: able to multi-task, effective communication skills with different levels of management, strong knowledge of Excel. This is a great position to gain exposure in a fashion retail corporate office.
Payroll Representative
This position will effectively handle the data-entry and processing of weekly payroll for assigned stores. Communication with stores and field management regarding issues and changes. Adhere to set deadline while upholding accuracy in all processed information. Reconcile weekly payroll for approximately 100 store locations in various states while following existing laws and regulations for assigned states. Ensure that paychecks are processed on time while verify the accuracy of check counts. Requirements include high school diploma, associates degree is preferred; one to three years accounting, bookkeeping, time and attendance and/or payroll experience; knowledge of related federal, state and payroll regulations; excellent mathematical, quantitative and problem solving skills; ability to balance, prioritize and meet strict deadlines; knowledge of excel, outlook and payroll based programs.
Web Marketing Manager
To enhance our brand through effectively channeling our website to drive traffic, increase sales and aid in customer attraction and retention. This role will support and impact every department within the company. This is an entrepreneurial position that includes responsibilities of analyzing site traffic and performance, e-mail campaign management, and updating concepts, new promotions, advertisements, product, and various web-related functions. Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field. Experience in website management of a business to consumer website. Basic understanding of HTML and knowledge of XML is a plus.
Operations Financial Analyst
This position will develop projections for Operational Best Practices for the Field. Identify sales opportunities in specific stores and districts through analysis of recurring and nonrecurring events; communicate with the Field to strategize on improving performance in these stores. Analyst Field Payroll and allocate hours to manage payroll expenses. Rationalize payroll dollars to improve productivity and control payroll % to sales. Project, manage and approve all Operations budgets to include Field Meetings, District Manager Meetings, Supplies, and Store Travel. Must possess strong working knowledge of store payroll management; strong analytical skills in sales and payroll management; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to communicate verbally and in writing and adapt to shifting priorities; overall strong planning, prioritizing, organization, and follow-up skills.
Loss Prevention Analyst
This position will be interpreting and implementing various Loss Prevention policies and functions, including exception based reporting, cash over and short, tracking and analyzing POS controllables, alarm systems, EAS systems, cycle counts, investigations, and other projects/functions as assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention. BS/BA Degree preferred. Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel. Strong working knowledge of POS Exception Reporting software packages. Ability to analyze shortage and other trends to build predictive shrink models. Ability to successfully identify trends which may be indicative of shrink risks.
Regional Loss Prevention Manager – Chicago, IL
This position will support rue21 in meeting and exceeding the company’s shrink goal through training, auditing, investigations and implementation of company initiatives. The ideal candidate should be strategic and possess the ability to develop new programs to promote shrink reduction. At rue21, Loss Prevention is a truly valued business partner and critical to our growth and success. Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years multi-store retail Loss Prevention experience required. Excellent training and presentation skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. Outstanding communication and organization skills. Strong working knowledge of exception-based reporting. Ability to travel overnight as required.
Product Development Technician
This individual will partner with buyers relating to style, fit and garment construction and quality. Other responsibilities include: attend fittings and prepare size specifications, communicate to vendors regarding fit recommendations, approve color and fabric specifications, and keep accurate record of fittings, samples and communication. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills and possess a sense of urgency. This candidate should be detail oriented and have an understanding of fashion clothing, fabrics and garment construction. Degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field or commensurate retail apparel experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Drive vendors specification with the highest degree of detail and speed of execution.
Director of Risk Management
This position is responsible for risk management, risk analysis, performance assessments and process improvements for rue21. Must support business initiatives with strong communication and technical concepts. Coordinate and sustain a company-wide risk assessment, working closely with executive management and the Board of Director’s to identify and prioritize key risk indicators. Provide insight into effectiveness of internal controls/ suggest enhancements. Direct the Sales Audit Department. Coordinate compliance efforts, including internal process review and documentation, key controls identification, testing plan development and results assessment. Contribute to proactive risk identification and mitigation efforts.. Provide leadership and insight from a process and control perspective on any new software implementation. Support the company’s cost containment initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MBA or other advanced degree preferred; 3 to 5 years Financial Leadership Experience; previous risk management and/or SOX compliance experience preferred; strong teamwork and communication skills; and retail industry experience.
Network Administrator
This position will ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization's LANs, WANs, and wireless infrastructure. Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks. Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components. Manage all network hardware and equipment, including blackberrys, routers, VPN's, firewalls, switches, access points, hubs, and UPS's. Requirements: minimum 7 years experience in hands on WAN network administration; minimum 5 years of Cisco routing, switching, Firewall and VPN experience; minimum 5 years experience with PBX, Unified Messaging; Windows Active directory 2003 experience is preferred; payment Card Industry (PCI), COBIT/ISO or SOX experience preferred; working knowledge of Managed File Transfer technologies like AS2; experienced with developing the network strategy, capacity planning, selection of network hardware and software; computer Science or Business Administration degree; MCSE or CCNA certification is preferred.
Operations Supervisor-IT
Responsible for overseeing the Operations Team handling store issues, including priority one tickets and escalations. Operations support includes root cause analysis, issue vendor escalation, problem reporting and tracking, and assistance with resolution of application problems with focus on high availability. Ensure that all priority store issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Ensures all new and remodeled stores are setup on-time, in scope, and on budget. Requirements: 8 -10 years computer operations and help desk management experience, payment Card Industry (PCI), COBIT/ISO or SOX experience preferred; working knowledge of a production job scheduling system; experienced with AS/400 operations, network operations, server operations and data communications; BS degree in Computer Science or Business Administration; retail IT data center operations and help desk management experience preferred.
Systems Analyst-IT
rue21 is investing heavily in IT on the IBM iSeries platform to support the company's remarkable growth. Do you have what it takes to develop and implement leading B2B Commerce, Advanced Planning, Allocation and Warehouse Management Solutions?
This position will work with the various business departments to develop system solutions to match business initiatives. Responsibilities will include overall integrity and integration of corporate ERP systems including Island Pacific Merchandising and Lawson Financials. Must have 3-5 years experience using the IBM iSeries in a Retail IT environment. Experience with ERP system integration between iSeries and Windows/Intel platforms preferred. Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required.
Merchandise Planning Systems Administrator
Accountable for determining departmental flow, defining process steps, and outlining report specification. Responsible for the data integrity and maintenance of the planning application and for being the liaison between the Merchandise Planning and the Information Technology groups. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Planning, IT or related field. Minimum of 2-5 years related experience of training with system experience within a merchandising planning/retail environment. Must have strong analytical/financial and problem solving skills with the ability to learn software quickly.
General Counsel
This position will be responsible for advising rue21 with business issues and legal matters including contracts, intellectual property, corporate governance, SEC registration preparation and matters of Human Resources. General Counsel will preparing solutions and advising on matters relating to legal compliance, policies, procedures and strategies for managing risk while keep abreast of industry legal trends and new laws/regulations. This person will be a key contributor in the company’s preparation for an IPO event while providing strategic and tactical advice to help promote company growth. Requirements: minimum of 10 years legal experience; minimum of 4 years as General Counsel; experience in a retail corporate environment preferred; JD and membership in a state bar is required; superb legal and business judgment; strong writing skills to assist a non-legal audience in understanding complex legal requirements.
Director of Real Estate
To supervise and be actively involved with present and future stores including: developing relationships, site selections, financial justifications, travel and convention attendance, lease renewals and negotiations, rent reductions, building allowances, remodels, and new concepts. Developing and implementing market strategy, renewing leases in a timely fashion and create economic guidelines to ensure all deals are made with most favorable terms for rue21. Requirements: retail leasing experience, 10 years related experience, demonstrated ability to negotiate on behalf of retail divisions, proven understanding of the shopping center industry, demonstrated ability to manage multiple brand transactions, Bachelor's degree.
