The Director of Guys will be responsible for creating, developing and implementing the merchandise strategy which includes leading the buying team, defining product assortments and strategizing and executing business plans to maximize sales, margins and turnover. Merchant Trend Manager
This individual will communicate in a clear, concise manner with the merchant team to assure consistency in color and trend. The Merchant Trend Manager will coordinate communications between the merchandising, visual, and marketing teams in trend direction. This person will insure a smooth seasonal transition storewide, through the use of color flow and newness in trends ensuring that trends are purchased and presented storewide in a meaningful and impactful manner. Assistant Buyer
Support the Buyers in all product selection, price negotiation and purchasing decisions of the Merchandising Department. Manage formal communication to the vendors regarding purchase orders and changes. Work with vendors and buyers to support negotiation of PO terms including cost. Update PO system for retail changes, cost changes and extension dates. Maintain and update Open-to-buy/recap sheets daily, weekly and monthly. Communicate with Distribution Center on problems related to order shipping issues. Analyze reports and make recommendation for merchandise re-orders. Strategic Merchandise Control Assistant
The Strategic Merchandise Control Assistant will provide administrative support including data-entry and maintenance of financial planning/forecasting statistics for merchandise control reporting and analysis. This position will maintain clear communication of companywide promotional changes. They will create and maintain department specific codes, subclasses, store information, and archive files for various departments. This position will focus on tracking all sample merchandise and produce weekly and ad hoc reports to better assist merchandising team in analyzing business. The Strategic Merchandise Control Associate must have a degree in Business, Accounting, Fashion Merchandising, Mathematics, or related field. This position requires someone that is detail oriented, able to multi-task in a fast pace environment, accuracy when working with numbers and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Having an interest in retail or corporate retail is a plus.
Allocation Manager
The Manager of Allocation will be in a tactical leadership role, with a focus on the day-to-day management of the allocation/distribution of merchandise from the distribution center to stores. This position would work closely with the Buying, Planning and Field teams to determine inventory targets and merchandise flow needs that support the financial objectives of each classification of product in the accessory area. Duties and Responsibilities include overseeing the development and maintenance of allocation strategies and targets for the accessory division of product with a focus accuracy and timeliness, making recommendations to the Buying and Planning team on product receipt needs to ensure that sales are maximized in all store locations, ensure delivery of the financial objectives of each area through accurate and proactive management and forecasting of sales and inventory levels in each store by classification of product, develop and deliver merchandise analysis at a store and market level to inform and guide decision making, including weekly analysis and insights into product and store sales performance Qualified candidates must possess 3-5 years related work experience in Allocation and/or Store Planning, with a minimum of 3 years of Allocation experience, a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, passion for retail, a desire to help build a best in class allocation organization, experience working in a high volume, fast paced, specialty retail environment, strong Microsoft Excel skills, analytical aptitude and attention to detail, proven ability to build productive cross-functional relationships, and experience in leading and developing a team.
Merchandise Allocator
As a Merchandise Allocator you will be responsible for the amount of inventory in each store, across several categories of product. You will need to work closely with the Field, Buying, and Planning teams to ensure that each store has the correct inventory level to support their sales and merchandising needs. Duties and responsibilities include: Analyze historical data and current store level sales trends to identify risks and opportunities by department, class and style; Develop allocation scales and appropriately adjust allocations to stores; Analyze climate, store type and midweek sales projections and use the findings to take appropriate actions to ensure the optimal inventory level in each store; Build strong relationships with the Field, Buying and Planning teams, and be an active participant in cross-functional meetings. Merchandise Planner
As a Merchandise Planner you will work closely with the Buying and Allocation teams to develop and review assortment plans and manage OTB strategies. This role works as an integral part of the Merchandising and Planning and Allocation teams by identifying risks and opportunities and making recommendations to ensure that we are maximizing the profitability of the assortment.The Merchandise Planner will also; Develop and maintain merchandise plans for several categories of product; Make recommendations to the buying team on product receipt and liquidation timing; Ensure delivery of the financial objectives of the area through accurate and proactive management and forecasting of sales, mark-up and markdowns; Develop and deliver merchandise analysis to inform and guide executive decision making; Partner with allocation on the timing and quantity of receipts of new and existing product to flow into the stores; Support the department’s weekly reporting needs; and Maintain and update the open-to-buy daily, weekly and monthly, as needed. Store Planning Analyst
As a Store Planning Analyst you will work with the Allocation team to ensure correct sales and inventory plans are in place for all comp stores. This will include the identification of store level sales and inventory opportunities each week, and the need to collaborate with the Allocation team to execute any required changes. In addition, you will support the Company’s extensive new store opening and relocation strategy by ensuring correct sales and inventory plans for each opening store. Other Duties and Responsibilities include: Develop store inventory plans down to the department level; Develop a perspective on weekly flow to store requirements; Develop and maintain store level sales and inventory exception reporting; Review regular vs. markdown inventory levels; Initiate, communicate, and follow up on any transfers needed Liaison to the field and merchandising teams; Review store selling; Recommend monthly sales plans for comp stores; and Review contribution and store seasonality by week and upload the finalized plans into the system. Merchandise Systems Analyst
As the Merchandise Systems Analyst you will work closely with the Merchandise Administrator on a daily basis. In addition, you will work Merchandising and Planning and Allocation teams to develop and implement tools that support and enhance the Planning & Allocation process. They will support MID and MapleLake applications while being the primary liaison between I.T. and the Planning & Allocation department. The Merchandise Systems Analyst will work on the development and delivery of tool and process training for new hires into the Allocation department. They will be the Planning & Allocation lead for all reporting and process enhancements, including design, testing and change management training. They will be responsible for the identification of toolset and process enhancements to drive improved financial results, maintenance and distribution of any standard and ad-hoc reports, as needed and managing key options and configuration capabilities within the tool. Requirements: This position requires 1-2 years related work experience in Planning and/or Allocation system administration with experience working in a 400+ store specialty retail environment is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office Skills, Island Pacific experience is needed while Planning and/or Allocation software systems; implementation and project management experience is ideal. The Merchandise Systems Analyst must display the ability to build productive cross-functional relationships, and manage training and change management efforts. Experience working both independently and in a team oriented environment is required.
Product Development Technician
The Product Development Technician will measure, fit and approve final garment construction and specifications including apparel color, fit and trim. This position will communicate with vendors and buyers regarding style, fit, garment construction, and quality of all apparel. They will manage fit model sessions and prepare size specifications and communicate this and fit recommendations to vendors. The position will approve color and fabric specifications and are responsible for receiving timely TOP samples from vendors on all styles. Accurate record keeping of all fit sessions, samples, and communication regarding product specifications is a must. The position requires a degree in Fashion Merchandising, retail experience, and excellent organizational and communication skills. An understanding for and appreciation for fashion, fabrics, and garment construction is required.
Sales Audit Associate
The Sales Audit Associate is responsible for recording and auditing the daily store sales and corresponding revenue collection. Detailed responsibilities include the auditing of POS transactions, store deposit validation and inventory tracking. This position will also be an integral part of the bi-annual store inventory process by reviewing inventory reports and making adjustments as necessary. The qualified candidate should meet the following requirements: Related experience and/or advanced degree ideal; Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office products preferred; AS400 or Lawson experience a plus; Ability to interact with various levels of staff throughout the organization; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Extended evening and weekend hours may be required during bi-annual inventory periods.
Director of Information Security
The Director of Information Security will plan and administer all data security measures related to IT Policies/Framework, Enterprise Risk Management, Security Architecture, Internal Audit, Regulatory and Compliance including privacy, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity efforts. This position will have direct responsibility for all SOX and PCI security deliverables. The responsibilities of this position will also include conducting research on emerging security products, services, and protocols; identifying, developing and ensuring maintenance of security reporting metrics; and developing and managing relationships with third party security related partners. Qualifications for this position, include, but are not limited to the following: Computer Science or Business Administration degree and minimum of 10 years experience in hands-on security administration are required. Programmer Analyst
The Programmer Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence reports and systems that include database-driven web-based and client-based applications, database programming /maintenance and integration with enterprise systems. This includes the responsibility of designing, building, and maintaining SQL server reports, coding applications, web applications, and working with consultants for applications. Qualifications for this position, include, but are not limited to the following: BS Degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred; knowledge of AS/400, Windows 2003 plus, SQL server administration tools; minimum of 2 years building reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2005/2008; minimum of 2 years designing/creating databases, stored procedures and views in SQL Server 2005/2008; and minimum of 2 years database-driven ASP/ASP.NET application development experience.
Manager of Supply Chain Systems and Process
The Manager of Supply Chain Systems and Process will plan and oversee the activities associated with Supply Chain systems and processes, including system administration, enhancements, testing and project implementations. This individual will analyze the current systems and processes to develop proposals for implementing changes that will benefit the business and create efficiencies in associate workflow and/or in data management/reporting. IT Help Desk Manager
The IT Help Desk Manager will be responsible for managing the Help Desk team at the Support Center, Distribution Center, as well as the outsourced Store Support Help Desk vendor, including POS and store network. The individual in this role will work closely with the IT executive staff and decision makers in various departments to set and meet departmental SLA’s. Additional responsibilities will include: publishing monthly and quarterly ticket and issue resolution metrics; coordinating hardware and software upgrades, system outages, and maintenance schedules; managing Help Desk staffing; developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives; conducting research and remaining current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of procurement efforts; end user hardware needs (PC’s / laptops and peripherals); working knowledge of mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc); and establishing acceptable SLA’s on ticket prioritization and completion. Qualifications for this role, include, but are not limited to the following: BS Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience; 5-10 years of Help Desk management experience; proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development; experience managing 3rd Party Vendors; exceptional customer service orientation; retail IT Help Desk management experience preferred; and this position will also require the ability to lift and install hardware and equipment.
IT Operations Support Lead
The IT Operations Support Lead will be responsible for providing technical and project support for rue21 Corporate, Distribution Center and store’s systems. This individual will work with rue21 IT team members, business associates, and vendors regarding project activities and problem resolution. Additional responsibilities include: making certain that polling of sales from stores and the downloads to stores processes successfully; ensuring that all IT Operations system jobs execute properly; documenting, escalating and following-up on system problems; providing technical support for computer hardware, software, and communications; providing quality assurance testing for POS application and store system changes; utilizing knowledge and experience with existing systems to provide technical assistance to other IT staff; and implementing and maintaining operational documentation, procedures, and projects. Qualifications for this role, include, but are not limited to the following: B.S. IT Operations Support Specialist
The IT Operations Support Specialist will provide second level of support to the end user, stores, Support Center and distribution systems. This individual will respond to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support; document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution; ensure the polling of sales from stores and the download of price changes to stores processes successfully; ensure nightly batch jobs execute properly; implement and maintain operational documentation and procedures; and complete other technical projects as assigned. Qualifications for this role, include, but are not limited to the following: BS Degree in Computer Science, IT or commensurate experience; 3-10 years computer operations experience; experience with general AS/400 operations, network servers and data communications; Epicor Encore POS software and Island Pacific Application experience a plus. The Senior Director of Real Estate supervises and is actively involved with present and future stores including: Developer relationships, site selections, financial justifications, travel and convention attendance, lease renewals and negotiations, rent reductions, building allowances, remodels, and new concepts as well as maximizing profitability and return on investment for every store opened. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring efficient and productive functioning of the Real Estate Department with regard to proper research, direction, cost controls, and negotiations for all new stores, lease renewals and store remodels; Establishing strong negotiating positions and relationships with developers and other outside resources and contractors; Asserting strong negotiation position with attorneys/developers to secure favorable terms on leases, renewals, amendments, rent reductions, lease terminations and favorable resolution of open lease issues; Developing and implementing market strategy, creating economic guidelines, and renewing leases in a timely fashion; Acting as public relations representative as it relates to Real Estate issues and performance; Research materials for new stores and remodels and analyze project costs; Coordinating the lease management process to ensure all business terms are incorporated in leases. Real Estate Analyst
The Real Estate Analyst will provide analytical assistance and support to the Real Estate department in order to maintain accurate account of all leases and lease information. They will support the site selection process through preparation of mapping and demographic data and preparation and review of pro forma analysis for pending deal and assist the Real Estate Department in preparing REC packages for selected sites and administer the lease database and create and manage the SAP Business Objects reporting. The Real Estate Analyst will prepare and analyze the following monthly reports: Option & Kick Out reporting, Expiration Report, Renewal Analysis and the 4 Wall Report. They will assist the department with reconciliation invoices, budget changes & approved invoices as needed and timely opening and ongoing co-tenancy issues/failures and reconciliations. They must maintain open communications with Landlords / Property Managers to resolve issues within the Real Estate Operations; Lease Administration, Lease Auditing, Legal. Requirements: This position requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with mapping and demographics, Accruent lease database and SAP Business Objects reporting platform is preferred. The Real Estate Analyst must have excellent communtion skills, be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and demonstrate personal effectiveness. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or real estate related concentration with 3-5 years experience in retail real estate is preferred.
Construction Project Manager
The Construction Project Manager will coordinate and manage construction on new, relocated and remodeled stores. The process includes bid attainment, qualification, and contractor selection. This position will coordinate shipment of all materials, construction of space with contractor, completion of punch list through site visit, remodel projects, fixture rollouts, retrofits, and takeoff’s. The Construction Project manager will determine appropriate design and scope of work for specific site, manage bid process, develop bid lists, procure construction materials, and develop cost estimates for tenant work. The position will communicate with landlords and coordinate construction activities with Operations partners and store personnel. The position will assist in development of Capital Approval form, review and approve invoices, and develop project budgets. This position requires 3-5 years previous as a Retail Construction Project Manager in a similar, national chain. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Accruent is required. The position requires experience with retail tenant improvements, project management, building codes, open store remodels, phased construction, retail leases, and consultant coordination. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ability to travel, work occasional weekends, and extended days is required.
Lease Auditor
The Lease Auditor will be responsible for performing desk top audits of invoices and reconciliations to ensure accurate payment of all real estate occupancy costs consistent with lease obligations, as well as, dispute overcharges and negotiating settlement of disputed items. Other duties and responsibilities include: Process and perform desk top audit of all invoices received from Landlords that differ from planned expenses; Approve all bills for payment if fair and accurate, and contest any that are unreasonable or inaccurate; Review Landlord requested increases to common area maintenance, insurance or tax escrows (i.e. budget changes) and either approve or challenge such changes based on guidelines determined by Manager of Lease Auditing and Analysis; Perform desktop audits on all year-end reconciliation statements received from Landlords for occupancy expenses including CAM, insurance, real estate taxes, HVAC charges, and percentage rent; Request reconciliations from landlords when not sent as required by lease; Use effective communication and negotiating techniques with Landlord representatives to collect overcharges and remedy incorrect, improper or excessive billings. The qualified candidate should possess: A BA/BS or equal experience in business/finance/lease administration, 3+ years in lease administration, An understanding of commercial real estate lease provisions, preferably relating to retail shopping centers, Experienced negotiator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and energetic.
Zone Vice President of the East Zone
The Zone Vice President of the East Zone must be a strong and decisive leader who is responsive and at the same time can provide well-directed and focused leadership and drive revenue. A charismatic leadership style coupled with well-balanced merchandising, operations, and human resources skills will distinguish the selected candidate. The Zone Vice President will be charged with maximizing sales and profitability throughout the region by providing training and development of field management, defining and supporting high standards for company productivity, effective communication regarding inventories, enforcing operational controls to increase sales to profit ratio and leadership in customer service excellence. Regional Loss Prevention Manager
The Regional Loss Prevention Manager position will be based out of Nashville, Tennessee. The Regional Loss Prevention Manager will be responsible for meeting and exceeding the Company's shrink goal through training, auditing, investigations and implementation of Company initiatives. Additional responsibilities include: directing and coordinating all Loss Prevention functions for the region to achieve maximum effectiveness in inventory shortage and protection of assets; identifying Loss Prevention training needs and ensuring the development of trained, professional and motivated shrinkage awareness teams; partnering with District Managers and Store Management to identify shrink priorities and develop shrink reduction strategies; initiating appropriate strategies to bring internal investigations to successful conclusion; and coordinating shrink control plans for high shrink stores and overall region. Qualifications for this role, include, but are not limited to the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred; minimum of 3-5 years multi-store retail Loss Prevention experience required; previous Distribution Center and Supply Chain experience a plus; excellent training and presentation skills; strong working knowledge of exception-based reporting; ability to travel overnight as required; successful experience in development/training management; and leadership/management/director level experience required.
Onboarding Specialist
The Onboarding Specialist will effectively handle the timely data-entry of on-boarding new associates along with entering change of statuses, employee discount cards and filing. This position will entail timely communication with store operations and field management regarding issues and adhere to deadlines while upholding accuracy in all processed information. Qualifications for this role, include, but are not limited to the following: 1-3 years Human Resources or Payroll experience preferred; excellent data entry skills; ability to thrive in a fast paced environment; effective written and oral communication skills; and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook as well as HR/payroll systems.
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager you will lead a large team to do the fast-paced work required to run our Distribution Center productively. You will work with the Senior Manager of Operations and peers to build and maintain a strong team by focusing on associate development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Communicating daily to supervisors and associates regarding production goals and company information; Accessing reports and interpreting data in order to plan daily production goals; Interfacing with other supervisors and departments to maximize the labor force to meet daily objectives; Promoting and maintaining high employee morale and safety and maintaining the accuracy of inventory. Qualifications include but are not limited to: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent management experience in a Distribution center environment; Ability to handle multiple assignments; Attention to detail and meeting established deadlines; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various warehouse management systems; Ability to support 2nd shift operations with core business hours between 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Visual Merchandising Assistant
The Visual Merchandising Assistant will assist with maintenance of all aspects of the Support Center Simulated Store including implantation of visual and merchandising for floor sets and mannequin change directives to maintain consistent presentation standards. They will work to create, write and execute visual directives for merchandise and fixture placement, in-store marketing, a weekly visual update and accurately communicate marketing changes and new promotions. They will assist in the development and implementation of visual standards for the field organization, train and develop District and Regional Managers and store management and staff on visual presentation, merchandise and fixture placement, and company standards. The Visual Merchandising Assistant will partner with the visual team, merchants, allocation/planning, marketing and store operations in the development of new shops and seasonal roll outs from concept to completion and develop professional presentations. The requirements include, a two or four year degree from accredited institution in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Art, or Interior Design and two to four years of store retail visual merchandising or related work experience. The Visual Merchandising Assistant must have keen fashion sense, strong written and verbal communication skills, possess the ability to work independently, be capable of working in a fast paced environment and be flexible and have ability to adapt to change and multitask. Solid computer efficiency to include Photoshop, Illustrator Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel is required.

The Creative Brand Marketing Manager will generate and execute ideas for national marketing/advertising campaigns. This individual must possess a strong retail apparel marketing/brand management background and possess exceptional creativity to produce a strong product image so we can expand our brand into new markets.
