rue21 is On the Move in the Pacific Northwest

rue21, the dominant teen specialty value retailer with 450 stores in 41 states is opening seven new stores in the Pacific Northwest this April in Oregon and Washington. The locations of the stores include: Bend, Albany, Troutdale and Portland, Oregon; and Wenatchee, Lakewood and Everett, Washington. rue21 stores are located in community strip centers, regional malls and outlet centers. “The Northwest market is an exciting opportunity that will potentially give us 60 new store openings in WA and OR in the next five years,” said Bob Fisch, President & CEO of rue21, inc.

The Northwest has been anticipating a company like rue21 to penetrate the area with its fast-paced girls and guys fashion at a value. The company will open 100 stores this year, relocate 30 stores and remodel 30 stores nationwide.

In addition to rapid growth in the girls and guys fast-paced fashion business, rue21 has been complemented by the addition of etc!, which greatly expands its accessories, including shoes, jewelry and handbags.

rue21 was the first specialty retailer to launch two eco-friendly fragrances in 2008. Most recently, rue21 launched its newest fragrance, Pink Ice in addition to its already strong line of exclusive fragrances.

rue21 has plans to grow to 1000 stores nationwide in the next five years. The Northwest is only the beginning of future growth, creating new jobs and intensifying rue21’s brand awareness. rue21 is on the move.
