Allocation ManagerThe Manager of Allocation will be in a tactical leadership role, with a focus on the day-to-day management of the allocation/distribution of merchandise from the distribution center to stores. This position would work closely with the Buying, Planning and Field teams to determine inventory targets and merchandise flow needs that support the financial objectives of each classification of product in the accessory area. Duties and Responsibilities include overseeing the development and maintenance of allocation strategies and targets for the accessory division of product with a focus accuracy and timeliness, making recommendations to the Buying and Planning team on product receipt needs to ensure that sales are maximized in all store locations, ensure delivery of the financial objectives of each area through accurate and proactive management and forecasting of sales and inventory levels in each store by classification of product, develop and deliver merchandise analysis at a store and market level to inform and guide decision making, including weekly analysis and insights into product and store sales performance. Qualified candidates must possess 3-5 years related work experience in Allocation and/or Store Planning, with a minimum of 3 years of Allocation experience, a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, passion for retail, a desire to help build a best in class allocation organization, experience working in a high volume, fast paced, specialty retail environment, strong Microsoft Excel skills, analytical aptitude and attention to detail, proven ability to build productive cross-functional relationships, and experience in leading and developing a team Director of TrainingThe Director of Training will be accountable for collaboratively working with all members of the organization to identify, develop, implement, and evaluate organizational-wide learning opportunities with a primary focus on management and competency development and training. The responsibilities for this position are as follows: work closely with management to analyze training needs and develop & execute training plans and strategies, provide the lead and support of training programs and materials in support of Field Associates and Management as well as Support Center Associates and Management. Director of Real EstateTo supervise and be actively involved with present and future stores including: developing relationships, site selections, financial justifications, travel and convention attendance, lease renewals and negotiations, rent reductions, building allowances, remodels, and new concepts. Developing and implementing market strategy, renewing leases in a timely fashion and create economic guidelines to ensure all deals are made with most favorable terms for rue21. Requirements: retail leasing experience, 10 years related experience, demonstrated ability to negotiate on behalf of retail divisions, proven understanding of the shopping center industry, demonstrated ability to manage multiple brand transactions, Bachelor's degree. Assistant Payroll ManagerThis position entails taking a leadership role in all payroll department growth and transition initiatives, which includes leading projects within the department, implementing process improvements and interfacing with others throughout the company. You will assist managing a department currently consisting of eight associates. Responsibilities include aspects of the in-house payroll department function including processing, tax compliance, issuance of checks, year-end filing requirements, employee supervision and guidance. At least 3 to 5 years leadership experience in a middle market, multi state payroll function with a related bachelor degree and/or accreditation. ParalegalThis role will provide paralegal services involving drafting contracts and other legal documents, performing legal and corporate research, assisting on real estate, copyright and trademark matters, and maintaining records/files for corporate matters. Requirements: BA/BS; Paralegal certificate in a one year program mandatory; 3-5 years of paralegal experience; strong legal research capabilities and regulatory knowledge; background in real estate or commercial leasing a plus; Lexis or Westlaw and Internet research training required; and ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Junior Business Intelligence ProgrammerResponsible for the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence reports and systems that include database-driven web-based and client-based applications. The Business Intelligence Programmer will be responsible for database programming, analysis, maintenance and integration with enterprise systems using the SQL Server Database platform. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of database-driven ASP.NET application development experience and 2-3 years building reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (experience with Crystal Reports will be considered). Experience with SharePoint Server 2007 recommended. Working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server a plus. Working knowledge of SQL Server Administration a plus. Experience in a Retail IT environment preferred. Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration degree preferred. Regional Loss Prevention Manager – MidwestThis position will require the meet and exceed of company’s shrink goal through training, auditing, investigations and implementation of company initiatives. Responsibilities include: direct and coordinate all Loss Prevention functions for the region to achieve maximum effectiveness in inventory shortage and protection of assets; identify Loss Prevention training needs and ensure the development of trained, professional and motivated shrinkage awareness teams; partner with District Managers and Store Management to identify shrink priorities and develop shrink reduction strategies; initiate appropriate strategies to bring internal investigations to successful conclusion; coordinate shrink control plans for high shrink stores and overall region; develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with the field and Corporate Office; continually assess Loss Prevention programs and offer suggestions to enhance and/or improve overall program. Merchandise Systems AdministratorAccountable for determining departmental flow, defining process steps, and outlining report specification. Responsible for the data integrity and maintenance of the planning application and for being the liaison between the Merchandise Planning and the Information Technology groups. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Planning, IT or related field. Minimum of 2-5 years related experience of training with system experience within a merchandising planning/retail environment. Must have strong analytical/financial and problem solving skills with the ability to learn software quickly. Merchandise AllocatorThis entry-level position will assist the Merchandise Allocation Analyst with order entry, merchandising analysis and ad hoc reporting requests. Responsibilities include data-entry of allocations, merchandising weekly breakdown of allocations for distributing, updating new store charts/reports, and preparing selling recaps. Successful candidates will be detail oriented, accurate with numbers, well organized, possess excellent computer and communication skills, and handle multiple tasks in a very fast-paced environment. Buyer-Juniors, Tops/SportswearThis role is responsible for achieving sales & profit objectives for key junior categories. This includes the development and successful implementation of buying strategies, inventory management, merchandise selection, assortment and promotional planning, developing pricing strategies and marketing plans for fashion trend categories. Responsibilities: coordinates requirements, specifications, timing, and distribution for merchandise selection; develop strategies and criteria for negotiations; coordinate with marketing and visual departments for sales promotion and visual direction; and maintain and update open-to-buy daily, weekly and monthly.
